Emscripten compiles C/C++ code to JavaScript, which can be then run in browser. This is at it’s best for graphic applications requiring access to rendering pipeline and need to be opened in browser on any hardware, including Android. https://www.starbreak.com/ gives good idea what this is about. For us this seems like good alternative to distribute eobjects glass UI.

Advantages of this approach are that it is fast, good for 3D games, etc and that existing C code can used. Downsides are: Traditional sockets are blocked by browser, and web-sockets must be used for communication. Technology is fairly new and quickly evolving, thus functions dealing with platform are likely to change. Luckily this applies to small part of code, main bulk of code is stable/mature C/C++.
